New details for "Wolverine 3" will feature the new villains that will face Logan and X-23 will be added to the third film and the "X-Force" spin-off.
Several rumors are making rounds that the new villains that Logan/Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) "Wolverine 3" have been revealed online and it will have something to do with "Gone Girl" actor Boyd Holbrook's possible character in the film.
According to Nerdist, Logan will be facing the cyborg mutant hunters the Reavers in "Wolverine 3" and they are led by Donald Pierce. Donald Pierce in the comics, is the cyborg member of the Hellfire Club, an elite group of high society class mutants and individuals who are plotting to the conquer the world. Holbrook's character is described as a brutal head of security for a global enterprise and it is speculated that he could be play Donald Pierce in the movie with The Reavers as his own security force.
Another speculation claim that the global enterprise could the Essex Corps, which was featured in the post-credit scene in "X-Men: Apocalypse" as they have gain a sample of Wolverine's blood and Weapon X data which will likely lead to the creation of Laura Kinney/X-23, the female clone of Wolverine.
"The Iron Lady" star Richard E. Grant is added to the cast of "Wolverine 3" playing a mad scientist in the film but no further details were revealed.
In other news, X-23 will likely appear in the "X-Men" spin-off film, "X-Force" after "Wolverine 3" as film director Bryan Singer made an update regarding its production phase.
Singer told Fandango that "X-Force" spin-off is still on going as screenwriter Simon Kinberg is already working hard on the script and pitched the idea that a "female" Wolverine will be included in the film, hence X-23 will join the team.
Laura Kinney is currently the new Wolverine in the All-New, All-Different Marvel and it will not be long that Fox will announce more mutant characters joining her in "X-Force" spin-off.
The third "Wolverine" film is said to be based on "Old Man Logan" and will have a brutal "western styled" theme, making ot rated-R for audiences. It will also be Hugh Jackman's last performance as the fan favorite X-Men as he plans to retire the role for good.
"Wolverine 3" will be release in cinemas on March 3, 2017.
