"Game of Thrones" season 6 episode 7 is titled "The Broken Man." It is believed that the episode title refers to The Hound who will be returning to King's Landing and will be fighting with his brother, The Mountain, in Cersei's trial by combat.
Season 5 left the younger Clegane severely wounded in the mountain after he had been beaten up by Brienne and left to dead by Arya Stark. The warrior almost got killed and the viewers are left wondering about his whereabouts.
It is believed that Sandor Clegane will be returning as a monk under the High Sparrow's supervision. Now that the looming trial by combat of Cersei Lannister is coming to a point, it is still unconfirmed who will be representing the High Sparrow.
It is at this point several speculations come in. The most consistent of which is that it will be The Hound who returns as a monk, who will be fighting for the Sparrows, according to Bustle. The same report said the face-off between the Clegane brothers has been dubbed as Cleganebowl.
The Cleganebowl theory had been one of those early speculations for the series, and it seems like it will be happening before season 6 ends. It may be one of the most interesting fights in the history of "Game of Thrones" in case it pushes through.
The elder Clegane was nearly killed during a trial by combat for Tyrion Lannister where he faced Oberyn Martell. Although he was successful in triumphing over Oberyn, he was severely damaged by the poison acquired from the latter's spear.
At the instruction of Cersei, Qyburn experimented The Mountain by "zombifying" him, Wet Paint reported. The Mountain actually died, as claimed by Qyburn, and was only revived through the latter's experiment using a dwarf's head as The Mountain's new head. After the successful experiment, the Frankenstein Mountain was appointed to guard Cersei right after the Queen Mother's walk of atonement.
In the past season, there was a scene where The Hound retold how he acquired his burnt face, telling that his older brother Gregor burnt it when the latter found out he picked up his discarded toy. He recalled that Gregor burnt his face to serve as his punishment for not asking the latter's permission.
