A new trailer for the expanded "Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice Ultimate Edition" has been released and it offers deep secrets into what a fan should expect out of the R-rated home release version of the original movie.
The expanded "Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice Ultimate Edition" adds 20 more minutes to Zack Synder's original DC superhero movie. It was already 2 hours and 33 minutes long, almost of the same length as a typical Hollywood movie.
The new trailer offers an insight into some of the material being restored in the upcoming expanded version of the movie. The expanded version will introduce Jena Malone's character, which was completely missing from the original movie that hit the box office. Malone's character has since then been a subject of speculations among the Batman V. Superman fans.
This is likely to catch everyone's eye and it is being speculated that a part of the restored scenes will focus on content that was originally under-served in the original released, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
For example, the home release version might focus on the investigation carried out by Lois Lane into the events that take place during the opening of the movie. At the beginning of the movie, Superman is framed under the murder of terrorists in the Middle East.
In the trailer, Malone tells Lois that she is a good reporter because "things like this still shock you." This particularly indicates toward the fact that Lois might be involved in the investigation surrounding the government's involvement with the terrorist act. But this make one thing clear, Malone is manipulative enough to challenge Ben Affleck's character, Bruce Wayne.
The release of the alternate edition of the movie was first announced in February, according to Yahoo News. However, the new trailer has unleashed some of the secrets that the fans were desperate to see, including Alfred's "So falls the House of Wayne" among other key revelations.
"Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice Ultimate Edition" will be released in a digital HD format on June 28, 2016. The Blu-ray version will be released on July 19, 2016.
