A.J. Styles and The Club's breakup did not last long as they beat up a returning a John Cena in the last week's Memorial Day edition of Monday Night Raw in Green Bay, Wisconsin. According to the latest rumors, the WWE has big plans for The Club and one of it is a possible interference in the Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins match at "Money in the Bank."
After Styles failed to defeat Reigns at "Extreme Rules" for the WWE World Heavyweight championship, he decided to part ways with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. He was then unsuccessful to qualify for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match following a loss to Kevin Owens.
On the other hand, Cena made his return from a shoulder surgery and he was greeted by The Phenomenal One. Gallows and Anderson decided to show up and said that they will beat both superstars in the ring.
However, Styles turned on Cena and The Club was back together. They mercilessly beat up the leader of Cenation with kicks and punches until he cannot move anymore. The dream matchup of Cena vs. Styles was then made official for "Money in the Bank" on June 19 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
According to Daily Wrestling News, WWE chairman Vince McMahon was very impressed with Styles' performance in the last two pay-per-views. McMahon also decided to turn him heel because of the lack of bad guys on the main roster.
Nonetheless, there are now plans to have him win a world championship at the end of the year due to his popularity with the fans despite turning heel. He is also expected to be drafted to SmackDown along with Cena as part of the brand extension. The two superstars will likely fight for WWE's second world championship, Cageside Seats reported.
There are also plans for The Club to interfere in the Reigns vs. Rollins WWE title match "Money in the Bank," but nothing is sure at the moment. The feud between Reigns and Rollins is set to be long and a screwy finish or a no-contest is the first step to prolong the program.
The Club is their best shot to make an interference but they also have The Wyatt Family, who are also close to returning to WWE television. Bray Wyatt has been teasing their return on Twitter and one his latest post was a picture of him with the WWE World Heavyweight championship.
