It is further speculated that when Hopkins exposes the wrong-doings of the power couple and what all they did in order to stay in the White House then the media and the nation will take notice. Hence, the President will face impeachment and will lose the Oval Office.

On the other hand, there are reports that actress Sigourney Weaver may also join "House of Cards" Season 5. She will also make life hell for the Underwoods and may also be a candidate for the vice-presidency against Claire Underwood.

In order to attempt to win against the First Lady, Weaver will also dig up dirt against the Underwoods and use it to bring them down, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The President may also lose his job on account of Weaver's expose.

In other related news, actress Robin Wright who enacts the character of the First Lady demanded equal pay as the male lead Kevin Spacey from the producers. She feels that her role is equally challenging and demanding and hence she should be adequately compensated, according to Huffington Post.

Wright also cited the statistics in her favor and said that for a period of time her character was more popular than Spacey. The producers acknowledged her immense contribution in making the show popular and agreed to her financial demands. Wright is also the producer and the director of some of the episodes of the show.

Other "House of Cards" Season 5 spoilers indicate that the President may be murdered in the pilot episode of the show. In his place, Wright will take charge of the Oval Office.
