The Future Trunks arc has begun. And, "Dragon Ball Super" episode 47 was gripping from the start until the end. Moreover, Black Goku finally appeared in his full form in this episode called "SOS From the Future! A Black New Enemy Appears!!"

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 47 - recap
The opening shots show Future Trunks running as the evil Black follows him. We cannot see who this Black form is as it is shown as a flash.
Meanwhile, Future Trunks meets Bulma in her tiny laboratory and she gives him the fuel for the time machine. It is revealed that it took them one year to collect enough fuel for just a one-way trip in the time machine.
He is shocked to learn that it took them one year to collect that much liquid.
The fuel must be taken to Capsule Corporation. However, Black is able to locate them and bombs the building. Bulma is stuck and she tells Trunks that he is everyone's hope and must leave as Mai is waiting for him.
She insists that he must go without her. Bulma perishes quite early and Trunks determines to come back and save the world.
"Dragon Ball Super" episode 47 returns to present day and Goku has called Piccolo to train in the field. Goten wants to train too, but Chi Chi reminds him that he has to study for the upcoming tests. Goku and Piccolo start a competition as to who can harvest the field first.
Later, Kuririn arrives and tells them that Vegeta has gone to train with Whis. Goku could sense Vegeta's ki and teleports to train with him.
Chi Chi is mad and makes Kuririn work in the field in place of Goku. Meanwhile, Goku arrives on Beerus' planet and he is angry at Vegeta for leaving him behind. Vegeta tells him that he is quite slow.
Beerus wants a souvenir from Goku and he gives him the lettuce.
Meanwhile, in the future, Trunks comes to meet Mai in her room. He reveals what happened to Bulma and that Black can sense his ki. He shows her the liquid that will help him go in the past.
Coming back to the present, Beerus, Goku, Vegeta and Whis are taking a break and enjoying instant ramen. Goku thinks if he should get ramen for Omni-King too.
Beerus freaks out as soon as Omni-King's name pops up. Vegeta and Goku are confused about the whole hype.
Beerus reveals that Omni-King doesn't fight, but he is extremely powerful. Whis states that Omni-King can destroy anything.
There were 12 universes, but when Omni-King was angry, he wiped out six.
"Dragon Ball Super" episode 47 shows Mai giving Trunks a can of meat. Mai's pet cat comes and Trunks asks if the cat can survive after they are gone. Mai tells him that the cat would manage.
Trunks eats half of the can and offers the rest to Mai. She is worried about the fuel for a one-way trip. He tells her that he trusts his mother and they need to go West City, some 17 years ago to meet the allies.
Meanwhile, they plan to head out as Trunks cannot sense the ki of Black. However, it turns out to be a terrible idea as Black follows them and finally reveals its true form.
Enter Black Goku. He is evil. The way he talks is pure evil. And Trunks and Black Goku fight. However, Black Goku is incredibly powerful and Mai tries to distract him so that Trunks survive.
Black attacks Mai and she is thrown off. Trunks rushes to her side and find her dead. He is fuming with anger and attacks Black Goku.
"Today is the day you die, Saiyan," Black Goku says to Trunks and "Dragon Ball Super" episode 47 ends.

The first episode of the Future Trunks arc has lived up to the hype. Additionally, the animation is good.
