"Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered" release date has been announced by game developer Quantic Dream via social media, and based on their announcement, "Fahrenheit" will be available via PlayStation Store worldwide by July.
While the game developer is busy with their current project, "Detroit: Become Human," which deals with robots having a feeling, they have confirmed the arrival of the remastered version of "Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy" exclusive for PS4 consoles.
The remastered version of "Indigo Prophecy" to be released on July 18 will only be available for PS4 console and is said to be priced at $14.99. This release for PS4 console is a follow-up marketing strategy of last year's release of the similarly remastered version of the game but intended for other platforms. It can be remembered that Quantic Dreams already made a remastered version of the "Indigo Propechy" for diverse platforms, including PC, Mac, iOS and Android devices.
In retrospect, the game boasts of its immersive storyline and unique gameplay wherein gamers will have to assume a role of a character who happened to have killed someone without any memory of the event, while a detective tries to uncover the truth behind the incident, according to EuroGamers.
The game was first introduced in 2005 when PS2 was the main console for gamers and Xbox was still trying to make its presence felt. Whatever the game lacked in sales value, it definitely reciprocated with an established fan base, thus associating the name of developer Quantic Dream to sci-fi-supernatural and psychological thriller themes, according to Attack of the Fanboy.
Though the game has not been very successful in terms of sales during its time and as compared to its contemporaries, David Cage classic "Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy" became a pillar for other games. Its unique introduction of an immersion focused control scheme, gamer were introduced to games primarily relying on analog movements, like "Heavy Rain" and "Beyond: Two Souls."
With the upcoming release of the remastered version of "Indigo Prophecy" exclusive for PS4, nostalgia would surely be present. And also the hyper-engaging format of the game intended mostly for adult players will surely be enjoyed by a new generation of players.
