"Injustice 2" release date has been highly talked about just months after the release of "Injustice: Gods Among Us." The first installment of "Injustice" was a phenomenal hit gaining multitude of fans under various gaming console and platforms. Thus, the announcement of the upcoming sequel to the installment during the E3 event excited fans worldwide, especially with the array of characters added.
The game publisher, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, has one primary goal with their introduction of the comic superheroes to the mainstream gaming industry. According to the President of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, David Haddad, they wanted to expand the DC Universe by giving fans a new experience of their iconic characters.
"Expanding the DC Universe in games continues to be one of our top priorities, and Injustice 2 showcases incredible gameplay and an original story to bring the characters to life for players. NetherRealm Studios is offering fans an experience of customizing and battling with DC's iconic characters in an entirely new way," FragHero quoted Haddad as saying.
And as part of the continuous adherence to such goal, "Injustice 2" release date was announced recently. And such announcement confirmed the previous speculations that game publisher will be releasing a sequel to "Injustice: Gods Among Us" by 2017. While in the context of other platforms like PS3, Android, iOS, PS Vita, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows and Wii U, there is still no certainty for it was specifically pointed out that the 2017 release will be for Xbox One and PS4, according to PCTablet.
Apart from the timeline for release, there are still no other details about the game itself and the possible changes and updates to the storyline, but it was mentioned by Ed Boon of NetherRealm that Super Girl, Atrocitus, Gorilla Grodd were added for passionate players.
Information regarding the specifics of the game are still scarce, most of the information are based on the games own website, which details that "Injustice 2" will include a massive selection of "DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains." In addition to that, it was also emphasized that characters are capable of being equipped with powerful gears throughout the game and players capacity to customize the looks of their choice of character, thus highlighting "unprecedented level of control."
