Indian actor and model Sonu Sood will appear briefly in the romantic-comedy "Ishq Positive," which stars Wali Hamid Ali Khan, a singer from the "Raga Boys" band. The rom-com is directed by Noor Bukhari who is also the leading actress, and has Kashif Latif and Shazia Latif as producers. The film stars Saud, Ahmed Ali, Shafqat Cheema, Faria Bukhari, Saim Ali and Durdana Butt.
"Ishq Positive" is about a love story of a couple who parted, and somehow found themselves in a love triangle. It is the directional debut of actress Bukhari who promised the film will have humor and emotions. Sood's cameo role is to play himself and with his natural look.
"Sonu and Wali are good friends. So when he was approached to play a sutradhar in the film, he couldn't refuse," a source close to Sood told PrameyaNews7. The source added, "Sonu shot for his part in Filmcity recently."
Bukhari also announced the participation of Sood in her film. In managing the Bollywood actor, the actress-director would not want to disclose anything but was sure Sood's fans from both India and Pakistan would like his work.
"Sonu was a friend of Wali's and seemed interested to work with us and hence, we shot a guest appearance of his at Film City (studio) in Mumbai for the film," she told HIP. She added, "Personally, I think it is huge for a mainstream Bollywood actor to appear in a Pakistani movie."
Bukhari shared there are some Indian technicians who are in Bollywood productions. She is impressed by their professionalism and for not compromising on their work.
Several Pakistani actors are also working in Bollywood. Some of them are Fawad Khan, Mawra Hocane, Ali Zafar, Imran Abbas and Mahira Khan.
Sood is acting in the films of Bollywood, Tamil and Telugu and is spreading his wings wider. Fresh from filming with Hong Kong-native Hollywood actor Jackie Chan in "Kung Fu Yoga," the Indian actor Sonu Sood will appear in a Pakistani film, playing a cameo role.
In his movie with Chan, Sood plays Randall, whose father was a leader of a rebel army. He claims a right to a royal treasure Jackie Chan's character and his team are trying to locate in Tibet.
