"19 Kids and Counting" alum Jessa Duggar-Seewald recently confessed to breaking an important dating rule that her parents Jim Bob and Michelle set for her and her 18 other siblings.
The conservative Christian parents previously told their children that all of their conversations with their respective boyfriends and girlfriends should be open to be read by Jim Bob and Michelle.
However, Duggar recently admitted that she broke that dating rule when she started seeing Seewald.
"The day Ben and I started courting, we began our tradition of calling each other on the phone every night. These were special times. These calls were not 'chaperoned.' They were private just between the two of us," she wrote.
Duggar clarified that even though their conversations were not monitored by Jim Bob or Michelle, they never engaged in any indecent or inappropriate conversations.
"We would talk about everything from how our day went, to what we had been learning from our Bible reading, and then just anything else that we want to talk about," she said.
Meanwhile, according to IBTimes, this isn't the first time that Duggar and her husband Seewald broke the rules that the former's parents set.
In a previous episode of the now-debunked TLC reality TV show, Duggar and Seewald held hands while the former's family prayed. Jim Bob and Michelle previously told their children that holding hands is only allowed when they are already engaged to their partners.
However, the Duggar patriarch and matriarch just let the honest mistake slip by because their daughter and Seewald already had plans to be engaged the day after the said gathering.
One the day of their engagement, Duggar and Seewald once again broke a dating rule when they hugged each other after the former said "yes" to the latter's proposal.
Luckily, Jim Bob and Michelle weren't around to witness that moment.
In other news, some fans believe that the Duggars just want their fans to have something to talk about since the fate of "Jill & Jessa: Counting On" hasn't been sealed yet.
"19 Kids and Counting" was axed by TLC last year after Josh admitted to sexually molesting five young girls.
