Fans waiting to hear the latest news about "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 will be happy to know that the controversial season is heading to its production in August. It will also not be too long for the fans to wait as CBS has scheduled its airing beginning on Sept.19.
The news came amidst reports that two of its biggest mainstays Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco were in the middle of a negotiation of their contract, which are expiring by the end of Season 10. Three of the highest-paid stars of the series Galecki, Cuoco and Jim Parsons are reportedly receiving quite substantial salaries amounting to a range of $1 million per episode. Apart from it, they are also getting a percentage from the series' revenues.
Earlier, it was speculated that "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 may be the last for the most watched scripted series on the American television and also the final season for the characters of Leonard Hofstadter (Galecki) and Penny (Cuoco). There were also reports revealing that the entire cast members were asking for additional pay before the next season pushes production.
In 2015, showrunner Steve Molaro teased that Season 10 may be the end, but at the same time, he did not clarify if it will the real case for the CBS series. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he said that he will not focus on it yet as there were still lots of episodes to go through.
"I think so," Molaro told the publication. "I can't speak to the future or on behalf of the cast or where we'll be then, but it's certainly possible that it could go past that. The reality is that maybe season 10 is the ending point."
Despite formal words from the CBS, it seemed that everything is going well for the TV's No. 1 comedy as "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 is one of the shows to watch out for on Sept. 19, TV Line revealed. The listing includes the shows from CBS that will be returning to screens beginning Sept. 15.
"The Big Bang Theory" is still the most loved comedy series on American television. Based on the recent survey, every episode of Season 9 was watched by over 20 million people in the United States. With this figure, it seemed unlikely for CBS to close its doors to its million of followers.
