Developers of the game "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" decided to incorporate "Dragon Ball Super" characters in addition to its original playable characters from "Dragon Ball Z."
The recently concluded Japanese Expo 2016 held in Paris was jam-packed with exciting news about the upcoming "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2." Among others, Forbes reported that the story arc of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will be a combination of both "Dragon Ball Super" and the "Future Trunks Saga." Although there are also speculations that traces from non-canon animated series, "Dragon Ball GT," may also be seen in the story.
The trailer released recently also hinted that time travel will be one of the main theme of "Xenoverse 2," making Trunks the most fitting character. Another indication of this is Goku Black's time ring, bearing similar insignia as that in the heads of Broly and Janemba.
The game producer, Masayuki Hirano, recently confirmed these rumors in his recent interview, which he revealed that they want "Dragon Ball Super" to be part of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" so they opted to include it in the Day One edition of the game.
In another quick interview with Hirano about "Xenoverse 2," he confirmed that the online features of the game will even be more interesting. He even said, "This time we're really focusing on online features... And we are putting together a lot of features related to online so that players can interact and play with other players online, battle, do some quests and feel the new online experience." Bandai Namco also affirmed that the downloadable versions were added with amazing features.
"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is expected to be released on Oct.25 for PS4 and Xbox One, while PC version will have to wait until Oct. 28.
As of the moment, players who purchase the game, particularly the Bundle Edition, have more choices available such as Super Saiyan Goku, which will be featured in a glow-in-the-dark way, while Goku Black will be a pre-order bonus DLC.
