It was about 3 years ago when "Injustice: Gods Among Us" was released by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, and since the sequel is set to come out next year, latest news about it points to the possibility of Spawn being added to "Injustice 2's" DLC.
It was a week before the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in June when the trailer of the game was made available to fans. The trailer was said to have not reveal much of the long anticipated "Injustice 2"; however, the trailer was reported to be very excellent, and that fans reacted positively to it. The trailer also showed "Super Girl" as one of the new characters to be added in the game's current line-up, Tech Times reported.
Meanwhile, the creative director of NetherRealm Studios, Ed Boon, posted on his twitter account a picture of Grodd beating-up Superman, with a caption saying a thank you message to the critics in E3 for making "Injustice 2" the best fighting game of the event.
Best Fighting Game of E3: Injustice 2. Thank you E3 Game Critics.

One of Boon's followers then replied that adding Spawn to the game's upcoming DLC would make the game the best fighting game of all time. This has sparked rumors that Boon and NetherRealm may be thinking of including Spawn in the "Injustice 2's" downloadable content.
On the other note, it is said that Boon will be revealing two new characters for "Injustice 2." The creative director did announce the revelation on his twitter account, inviting the supporters of the game to be at Comic-Con to witness the revelation of the latest characters being added in "Injustice 2." Finally, Boon revealed that Blue Beetle and Wonder Woman were the two characters he was talking about, Gamespot reported.
As of the moment, Superman, Batman, The Flash, Aquaman, Supergirl, Atrocitus, Gorilla Grodd, Wonder Woman and Blue Beetle are already confirmed. While rumors are strong that another character is going to be revealed soon.
"Injustice 2" is set to be released next year.
