"South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone did not exactly reveal during an interview they are planning to revive PC Principal, also known as Reality, in the upcoming season of the TV series. Both Parker and Stone neither confirmed nor denied the return of the character while hinting that Reality "will blow people's minds."
One of the remarkable appearances of the said character was in episode 5 last season, entitled, "Safe Space." It can be recalled that Reality was only around for a brief time before being killed off in a public hanging.
Parker said they relied to viewers' reaction about Reality. The creator explained they were getting feedback like "Fuck the character," and further said that if they are going to receive that kind of response, they will more likely increase its existence and participation in "South Park."
Although both creators did not directly state they will be bringing back PC Principal, Mashable noted the way both Parker and Stone responded to their questions hints that the character's comeback is highly possible.
At the end of the interview, when they were directly asked whether they plan on reviving Reality, the duo decided not to spill any information as they regard the act as a "sweet idea" in case they push through with making Reality a reality.
Meanwhile, a new trailer and logo for "South Park" was released a few days ago. The trailer reminds viewers "we've been there" as a sign of the show's existence for 20 years. It was a series of heartwarming scenes between a father and his child, while showing snippets of "South Park" being watched by the daughter, Indie Wire reported.
On the other hand, the new logo released imitates that of the Super Bowl advertisement. "South Park" season 20 will start airing on Sept. 14, 10 pm at Comedy Central. The TV station is set to team up with South Park Digital Studios to hold several events to celebrate the show's 20th anniversary.
A traveling-art exhibit will be visiting around numerous locations around the country. At the same time, Ubisoft has already released a new video game entitled, "South Park: Fractured but Whole."
