Ariana Grande has defended herself from bullies who criticized her butt on her "Bang Bang" collaborator Nicki Minaj's Instagram account.
Grande commented on the video saying people are so ignorant sometimes that they make others feel bad about their bodies. She pointed out that it is okay to be different, either to be curvy or to be thin.
For Grande, her butt is pretty, cute and petite, Minaj's is pretty and big, and both are awesome.
On the other hand, Minaj is not all about that butt as she has always been all about the artistry. At the 2014 BET Awards, the rapper emphasized in her almost four-minute acceptance speech that all of her lyrics were written solely by her.
"My point is, what I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj, is when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it. No shade," said Minaj adding that she was close to death recently at the time and the experience helped her be herself.
It was Minaj's fifth consecutive win as the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist. Prior to accepting the award, she performed her latest single "Pills N Potions." She and her Young Money bandmates Lil Wayne and Drake also won as the Best Group, Fox News reported.
Drake, who won as the Best Male Hip-Hop Artist, did not attend the event.
Other 2014 BET Awards winners include Pharrell Williams as the Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, Beyoncé Knowles as the Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, August Alsina as the Best New Artist, Tameka Mann as the Best Gospel Artist, Chiwetel Ejiofor as the Best Actor and Lupita Nyong'o as the Best Actress.
