Looking fierce with her fur coat and animal print boots, Nicki Minaj attended the Marc Jacobs fashion show during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2015 on Feb. 19, Thursday, at Park Avenue Armory in New York City, Just Jared reported.
A week prior to the fashion event, Minaj took to Twitter to confirm the stabbing incident that involved her touring group at an East Mount Airy bar on Feb. 18, Wednesday.
"Two members of my team were stabbed last night in Philly. One was killed. They had only been there for two days rehearsing for the tour," Minaj wrote referring to her tour manager De'Von Pickett, 29, who was killed, and Eric Parker, 27, who was critically injured.
Minaj appears to have a her own defense mechanism when it comes to dealing with death. At the 2014 BET Awards held at Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, Minaj gave an emotional acceptance speech upon winning the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist award beating Iggy Azalea, Eve, Charli Baltimore and Angela Haze.
"I really thought I was about to die," Minaj said. "The other day, literally, I didn't tell anybody this, I really thought I was about to die. Like, I was saying my prayers to die. And I didn't even wanna call the ambulance because I thought, 'Well, if I call an ambulance, it's gonna be on TMZ.'"
When the "Pills N Potions" rapper smiled, the audience laughed. She said, "And it made me realize: I don't care anymore what anybody gotta say. I'mma do me! I'mma do me!"
