Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been the talk of the town since the couple officially declared that they are seeing each other. And since then, there has been no looking back for them despite the painful experience of a relationship in the past.
Stefani entered Shelton's life when he was in a middle of a divorce with his wife and singer, Miranda Lambert. Shelton was still struggling through his heartache when he miraculously met Stefani on the sets of "The Voice."
Recently, Shelton was interviewed by Billboard. During the interview, the county crooner revealed how both he and Stefani were going through the same feelings at that point of time as she had also split with her husband, Gavin Rossdale. Stefani empathized with Shelton when he told the fellow show mates about his separation and also made sure to make him feel comfortable by talking to him alone.
At first, Stefani and Shelton did not even know each other. However, their friendship grew on the sets of the show before they both finally realized their feelings for each other. They started writing emails to each other and the conversation over email eventually evolved to frequent text messages.
"She didn't tell me much, because we didn't know each other at the time, but she said, 'I'm going through something very similar to what you're going through. I understand. And I hate it,'" Shelton told the publication. "Next thing I know, I wake up and she's all I care about, and I'm wondering if she feels the same about me."
Since then, the air has only grown closer. Shelton loves to spend time with Stefani's sons from her husband Rossdale and they all sometimes even go out together. The lovely couple seems very much in love with each other, which is bound to grow even stronger in the future, especially as they start their own family.
Meanwhile, Lambert does not seem to have the best time of her life. During a concert in Chicago on July 29, Friday, the 32-year-old singer became emotional about a song she had co-written with her ex-husband, Shelton. In fact, she broke down in tears while singing the 2012 single "Over You," according to US Weekly.
