Fans of actress Lea Michele would surely be delighted with glee when they read the September 2016 issue of Women’s Health UK. The cover girl is "Glee's" Rachel Berry, minus her conservatism and clothes.
Lea Michele enters new territory by agreeing to appear nude for next month’s issue of Women’s Health UK. She agreed to drop her clothes because the “Glee” star feels she is physically in her best shape and emotionally in her best place.
Although admittedly not a gym person, the 29-year-old actress credited her “banging” body to every other day sessions at SoulCycle near her home in Los Angeles. “For me, working out has to be good for my mind too, and when I leave, the endorphins are buzzing, I'm glowing and I feel like I can take on the world,” New York Post quoted the actress.
Lea said that being nude “isn’t really an issue for me,” because of the regular workouts and being comfortable in her body. The spinning class at SoulCycle replaced the dancing that she did in “Glee” which ended in 2015. SoulCycle sessions are not just about physical workouts.
According to Women’s Health UK, a session – which starts at 6 a.m. in a darkened studio – had the instructor first discussing the power of prayer and then “whipping the crowd into a frenetic state of higher being.” At first, Lea’s British reserve stood in the way, but she now is in the front row singing and clapping along.
The mental and spiritual state of health is also bolstered at home where the actress eats only vegan and gluten-free food. But she confessed to also eating meat once in a while, as a conscious choice, such as the three slices of pizza she had the night before the photo shoot and interview.
Lea revealed that she had a new tattoo to honor former boyfriend and fellow “Glee” actor Cory Monteith. The 31-year-old actor who portrayed Finn, Rachel’s boyfriend in the hit TV musical series, died of alcohol and heroin abuse in 2013 inside a Canadian hotel.
The actress returns to Season 2 of “Scream Queens” in September as Hester Ulrich. The issue goes on sale on Aug. 3.
