"America's Got Talent" (AGT) Season 11 (2016) continued Live Show Week 2 on Aug. 5, Wednesday with results episode. The show revealed the results and bid goodbye to another five acts. Remaining 12 advanced to the semifinals. Meanwhile, Simon Cowell, Mel B., Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum continued to be the part of the show as judges. Here is a detailed recap of Quarterfinals Part 2. The results show kicked off with a recap of performances of "America's Got Talent" (AGT) Season 11 (2016) Live Show Week 2. All the acts were on stage.
Nick Cannon took the stage to announce the results. First off, the three acts in danger were revealed. These acts are up for Dunkin' Instant Save. Kadie Lynn, Sal Valentinetti and ThroWings were in danger and will be up for the last-minute save.
In a 30-minute voting window, America votes for the one act they want to save. In the meantime, the judges also get to voice their vote and save their favourite act.
Results continue. Out of Sos and Victoria, and the Clairvoyants, one act is bound to get eliminated. Unfortunately, Sos and Victoria has been eliminated while The Clairvoyants will move to semifinals.
More results are announced. Both Victor Kee and Steven Brundage have made it through the quarterfinals and will be competing in semifinals.
Next up were the tonight's special guest performers. Illuminate along with Fitz and Tantrums performed together. The band performed their latest single "Hand Clap" and Illuminated performed a dance routine. Following which, Cannon announced that the show and the cast members will be returning for Season 12.
More results revealed Sofie Dossi is in semifinals and Ryan and Amberlynn have been eliminated. Among the singers Calysta Bevier is going through while Moya Angela was eliminated.
Meanwhile, the Dunkin save vote was by Sal Valentinetti. Remaining Kadie Lynn and ThroWings were up for judges' vote. The judges' choice resulted in a deadlock with Howie and Mel B. choosing Throwings and Heidi and Simon voting for Kadie Lynn. However, Kadie Lynn was the artists that's received more votes from the audience. Thus, she advanced to the next level and Throwings was eliminated.
