"The Flash" season 3 is gearing up for the massive Flashpoint storyline that will feature major changes in the lives of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), as well as all of the characters.
According to Screen Rant, one of the biggest changes in the premiere episode will have to do with Barry not remembering anything about his superpowers.
Since the Flashpoint storyline will take place on a different timeline, Barry will have the opportunity to spend some quality time with his parents Henry and Norah.
With this, Barry won't also remember that it was because of his doing that he was able to revive both of his loved ones.
"In the same sense that he's forgetting a lot of memories, it means he's forgetting his powers too. It's like having a full 'Back to the Future' moment, where essentially his hand is disappearing in front of him," Gustin said.
Meanwhile, Gustin also opened up about the kinds of memories Barry will have while he is in a different timeline.
"Barry is the only one that knows the timeline is different, and his memories are starting to get replaced from the previous timeline with new memories, like graduating high school and graduating college, moments with his family. When he realizes those memories are replacing other memories, that's when he starts to realize how selfish of a decision this was and that maybe he should try to put things back to the way they were," he said.
In other news, "The Flash" season 3 cast member Jesse L. Martin added that the dynamics between all of the characters will also change because of the Flashpoint storyline.
"This Flashpoint thing is just... blowing my mind because yes, we're all the same people, the same characters, but everything is a little different. It's almost like playing a new character," he said.
For instance, Martin's Joe will definitely have a relationship with his son Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) in the upcoming episodes.
However, Joe isn't aware that his son is living a life that he knows nothing about. With this, Joe will give life to this alter ego Kid Flash in the Flashpoint storyline.
"The Flash" season 3 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. ET.
