"The Flash" season 3 cast member Matt Letscher recently opened up about the intriguing Flashoint storyline in the premiere episode.
While speaking with TV Line, Letscher said that his character Reverse-Flash will be wearing a new costume in the upcoming episodes.
However, the change in his character suit doesn't have much to do with what's in store for Reverse-Flash, but more on the size of Tom Cavanagh.
"I did get my own suit this year, so I hope they put it to good use. The original Reverse-Flash suit was built for Tom, who is probably two inches shorter than me and a lot skinnier, so you can only imagine the sausage casing it felt like when I tried to get into that!" he joked.
Meanwhile, the actor also recounted the time when he received a call from the producers telling him that he needs to return to the series in season 3.
"It was pretty exciting. Having not only worked on 'The Flash' before, but having worked with Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg on 'Eli Stone' before it, anytime I get a call from them, it's very welcome," he said.
In other news, Letscher also said that even though he will continue to be a villain in the hit The CW series, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) would need to work with Reverse-Flash in the Flashpoint storyline.
"I can say that he's definitely central to the overall problem, and that Barry needs him," he said.
Still, his character will continue to taunt Barry the best way he knows how.
After all, seeing Barry in such a huge amount of pain is one of the things that give Reverse-Flash extreme happiness.
"The Flash" season 3 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. ET.
