"How to Get Away With Murder" season 3 may see Wes (Alfred Enoch) finding out information about his father Wallace Mahoney (Adam Arkin), as well as the person who killed him in the first few episodes of the hit ABC series.
While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Pete Nowalk said that the name of Wes' dad's killer will be revealed in the premiere episode. However, the focus of season 3 won't revolve around Wes' dad's killer but on Wes himself.
"We will answer a very important question right when we pick up in the show and then we will move past it. I think the question is what happens in the immediate aftermath of Wes telling this man, 'I think I'm your son, and him getting shot while the man is on the phone. It's basically what will happen to Wes in those instant moments and there might be some reveal within that," he said.
In the finale episode for season 2, Wes decided to come face-to-face with his father. During their confrontation, Wes told his father that he is his son, but a few seconds later Wallace was shot by an unknown character. As of late, it is still unclear whether or not Wallace is really Wes' father.
Meanwhile, the filming of "How to Get Away With Murder" is currently ongoing and by the looks of it, Wes won't hold a grudge with his professor Annalise Keating (Viola Davis).
On his Instagram account, Nowalk shared a photo of Enoch and Davis while on the set of the series. The photo showed the co-stars talking to each other while giving life to their respective characters. It's also evident how both of them had calm expressions on their faces.
In season 2, Annalise was the one who told Wes the shocking information about who his dad really is. Wes was disappointed over the fact that Annalise withheld such an important detail from his past.
"How to Get Away With Murder" season 3 will premiere on ABC on Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. ET.
