The latest details and spoilers for "Suprgirl" season 2 will feature the title an possible plot of episode 2 and Superman battles Metallo in a leaked behind-the-scenes footage.
Director and comic book enthusiast Kevin Smith confirmed that he will be directing episode 2 of "Supergirl" season 2 during an episode of "Fatman on Batman" and announced its title "Supergirl Lives".
Smith openly discussed about his vision for the episode as he explained that he is happy to see any show that puts a positive spin, or a female spin on it, knowing the realm of superheroes is generally for guys, but Smith believed that a lot of girls and women out there are enjoying this as a way of thinking about Kara Zor-El/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) that way many people think of Superman.
The episode "Supergirl Lives" is a nod to Smith's screenplay that he wrote, but never went to fruition called "Superman Lives" which featured Nicholas Cage as the Man of Steel himself, Screenrant reported
The plot of "Supergirl" Season 2 may involve a secret organization called Project Cadmus as executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told Entertainment Weekly that the organization's mission statement is eradicate any extraterrestrial lifeform invading earth.
Project Cadmus will be the "big bad" on the first haft of season 2 as Project Cadmus was responsible for the abduction of Kara's adoptive father Jeremiah Danvers (Dean Cain) and the group will comprise of brilliant scientist, fanatics and patriotic figures who believed what they are doing is right and will stop at nothing to destroy aliens invading earth.
In other news, a leaked bts footage of "Superman" season 2 features a fight scene between Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) and a classic villain Metallo.
The scene features Superman in a fight with Metallo as Clark was able to gain the upperhand against the cyborg villain. The footage was shot by Twitter username Emily on balcony in his home as the scene takes place there.
Metallo is one of Superman's deadliest enemies as he happens to have in possession of Kryptonite, which happens to the Man of Steel's weakness, while Metallo is powered by it.
Previous reports revealed that "Supergirl" TV series will be a part of the four-episode crossover along with "The Flash" ,"Arrow" and "Legends of Tomorrow" as the plot will focus around Supergirl and they will fight one deadly enemy.
"Supergirl" will air on Oct. 10 on the CW Network.
