The forthcoming Galaxy Note 7 boasts a super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors. The display screen measures 5.7-inches packed with a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels. Protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, the device is expected to weigh 169gram.
Galaxy S7 Edge that was released in February this year, has a slightly smaller screen 5.5-inches with 1440x2560 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Featuring super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, the handset weighs lesser than the Note 7 at 157gram.
Software, chipset, camera
Based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, the Note 7 houses an Exynos 8890 Octa chipset along with an octa-core processor. As for the camera, the primary snapper is a 12MP, while the secondary snapper is 5MP.
On the contrary, the Galaxy S7 Edge runs on Android v6.0 Marshmallow and has Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820. The device is powered by quad-core and octa-core processor. As for the camera, the rear camera is 12MP and the front camera is 5MP.
Special feature-the Stylus
If you love navigating around the screen and mark the screen, the Note 7's Pen Stylus is an excellent addition to the device. However, if you are not much into the digital pen, the Galaxy S7 Edge is the right choice for you that comes with sloping curves for a more immersive feeling, CNET reported.
Memory and RAM
Powered by 4GB of RAM, the Galaxy Note 7 has 64GB internal storage that can be extended up to 256GB with a microSD card. The Galaxy S7 Edge, on the other hand, is fuelled by 4GB RAM, but comes in two storage options, 34GB and 64GB. The best part is the handset memory storage space can be extended up to 256GB by inserting a microSD card, according to GSMArena.
Which one should you buy? If money is not a constraint, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 should be your choice. Otherwise, buy the Galaxy S7 Edge that not just looks good, but the device has a large-screen and the price is reasonable.
