Lyanna Mormont was an instant hit when she featured in season 6 of "Game of Thrones." The young actor, Bella Ramsey, reveals that she can relate with her character in real life and is also a lot like her in many ways, especially when it comes to age.
In a recent interview with Leftlion, Bella Ramsey shares that she likes her character on "Game of Thrones," particularly her "fierceness and maturity." Needless to say, from the time young Mormont was shown in her authoritative character on the show, she instantly became a hit among fans who were pleasantly surprised by her portrayal of Lyanna Mormont.
In her opening scene, Jon Snow was seen asking Lyanna Mormont for her support in Stark's battle against Ramsay Bolton. Her gritty performance, as she agreed to lend her army for the Stark clan, won many hearts. She later gained more brownie points as she promised her house's loyalty to that of Starks'.
According to Ramsey, this was also her best scene as Lyanna condemns the other Northern lords who refused to pledge their houses to Jon. In her support of House Stark, Lyanna guarantees the allegiance of House Mormont and declares Jon Snow the King in the North.
Apart from sharing her character's fierceness, young Ramsey says that another thing common with her on-screen portrayal of Lyanna Mormont is her age. She revealed that people find it hard to believe that she is only 12-years-old. Interestingly, in preparation of her character, Ramsey wasn't even allowed to watch the show. Her parents only permitted her to watch her own scenes, WinterIsComing reported.
After her fiery performance in season 6, fans are hoping to see her again in season 7. While producers are yet to confirm her return, it is plausible to expect her return. With White Walkers and their impending invasion of the north, every character in the north will be brought into focus. Let's hope Lyanna Mormont too has a role to play in the upcoming war.
