The most popular celebrity in South Korea and China, Song Joong-ki, may have played a bad character once, as Kang Maru in “Innocent Man.” Right now, the lead actor of “Descendants of the Sun,” is every woman’s fantasy and one of the nine Korean actors an entertainment website lists as capable of killing female fans with their sexiness.
Although Song Joong-ki has also played a variety of roles, ranging from a playboy in “Penny Pinchers,” to a devoted soldier in “Descendants of the Sun,” Soompi pointed out that despite the 31-year-old actor being a flower boy with a baby face, he knows how to get his sexy on, seen in his recent photoshoot for Elle Magazine.
Besides Song Joong-ki, also on the list is his bromance partner in the Domino’s Pizza advert, Park Bo Gum, known for his “Reply 1988” character which elevated him from secondary roles to a popular flower boy. Park Bo Gum makes fans fall in love head over heels with everything about him, including his eyeliner idol look.
Even if Kim Woo Bin played bad boy roles in popular Hallyus such as “Schools 2013” and “Heirs,” he still embodies the tall, dark and handsome ideal that many fans hold of him. Throw in a deep voice and signature eyebrows, and the model-turned actor’s beefing up for his role in “Uncontrollably Fond” and fans will have an idol who is the image of a hunk.
The list inevitably includes “W’s” Lee Jong Suk who was part of “School 2013,” “I Hear Your Voice” and “Pinocchio. Hallyu observers often complement the actor for his sweet and hardworking demeanor as well as a sexy image honed from years in the fashion industry.
Meanwhile, Movienewsguide wrote that Kim Rae Won of the recently concluded “Doctors” was also sexy, especially when he and partner Park Shin Hye shot their make-out scene on top of an arcade machine.
