GoPro Hero 5 rumors and speculations are starting to rev up as the GoPro Hero 4 action camera is starting to go on sale and discounts with price drops along more online stores.
There are no updates yet from GoPro themselves regarding the highly anticipated Hero 5 camera but there are tons of alleged specs and rumors based on leaked product listings and such. One particularly interesting updated spec or feature is that the GoPro Hero 5 will be able to record up to 8K resolution in videos but only up to 30 frames per second due to the technical limitations of the hardware.
Users of the GoPro Hero 5 will still be able to record stunning 4K video at 60 frames per second for slow motion shots with great detail, Gamenguide reported. Those who are willing to record at 1080p can do so up to 240 frames per second for an even slower output after a short video edit.
It is also speculated that the GoPro Hero 5 will have a better processor although it was not detailed in the WAC magazine on which processor the action camera will have when it launches. Regarding the GoPro Hero 5 release date, some expect that it will be rolled out after the GoPro Drone Karma has also been released.
There are even rumors that the Karma will be released alongside the GoPro Hero 5 as a bundle. GoPro's delay of the Karma and Hero 5 may have left the company's stock declining but it could soon rise after the drone's release, Motley Fool reported.
Whether or not GoPro decides to unveil the Hero 5 camera with the release of the Karma, people will still expect a separate release date and pricing for the said device. It is even said that the camera will be powered by an A10 chip which powers the new iPhone 7 from Apple.
GoPro Hero 5's reveal could be expected on the day of the Karma drone rollout itself or several weeks after that to give users more time to focus on the company's new device. Pricing is expected to be more expensive than the last one due to the 8K video capability.
