An image of the upcoming GoPro Karma drone was released through a leaked photo on Twitter. The picture suggests that a Hero 4 model would be the one recording the scenery taken from the said drone camera.
Several hints pointed out this may be its appearance especially when the leaked photo is compared to the one present in GoPro's teaser video. Since GoPro CEO Nick Woodman confirmed that both the GoPro Hero 5 and Karma drone will be storming through the stores before the year ends, no potential images of both devices have been released. But just recently, self-proclaimed "GoPro addict" Konrad Iturbe released a picture featuring how the Karma drone may look like.
The original source of the said photo came from a GoPro subreddit where it had been posted before. According to Iturbe, both the image and the user have been deleted since the posting, CNet reported.
The said report scrutinized the released image and observed that the Karma drone uses a Hero 4 model. It also noticed the said drone is being held by a three-axis motorized gimbal.
It can be recalled that the company released a teaser last month entitled, "GoPro: The Secret Life of Pets," and it can be seen in the 0:25 mark that a drone was hovering over a dog, Mashable reported. The said reporter is now reaching out to GoPro for some comments about the spoiler.
When the image from the teaser video and the one from the leak provided by Iturbe are compared, both drones are identical except for its arm blades and legs.
Iturbe further said the image came from GoPro's server according to the Reddit user who first posted it online. But as of this moment, its real appearance is still indefinite. It is expected that the GoPro Karma Drone would feature a 4K video resolution and would cost around $2,000.
The image shown is not the official appearance of the upcoming Karma drone. Therefore, readers are advised to take everything with a grain of salt and wait for GoPro's confirmation.
