Some of the couples in "New Girl" Season 6 will go through long-distance relationships that may make them or break them. Will Nick's and Winston's respective relationships survive the test of distance?
Megan Fox is reprising her role as Reagan in "New Girl" Season 6, which basically means she's still Nick's girlfriend in the new season. Fox's Reagan is going to be part of a huge arc and will appear in as many as eight episodes, TVLine confirmed.
In "New Girl" Season 5 finale, Nick goes with Reagan to Seattle where she just landed a new job. Nick spends three months with her in Seattle until he returns to the loft at the start of Season 6.
Their time together has molded Nick into a better person. Executive producer Brett Baer told TVLine that Nick has "blossomed into a whole new version of Nick Miller," and that he has learned to do things like cooking.
However, sources confirmed that Reagan won't appear until midseason, which means she and Nick will be spending sometime apart during the first half of "New Girl" Season 6. Will this time apart put a strain on their relationship?
Jess is "trying to wrestle with her feelings" for Nick, and seeing his new and improved version makes it even more difficult for the show's leading lady to move on. However, it is unlikely Jess will be the monkey wrench thrown into Nick and Reagan's relationship. After all, Baer confirmed that "New Girl" Season 6 is going to "invest in the Nick/Reagan relationship."
On the other hand, Winston is also going through a long-distance relationship of his own. His girlfriend, Aly, is "taking an FBI training course in Virginia." Fortunately, she will get some screen time in "new Girl" Season 6 episode 3 as she visits Winston.
Although Winston was engaged and Aly was in a relationship with Trip, he and Aly really hit it off in the "Road Trip" and "A Chill Day In" episodes in Season 5. It was then that Aly realized she actually has feelings for Winston. While their relationship status remained murky even at the end of Season 5, it is safe to say that they are dating each other in "New Girl" Season 6.
