Ban and Meliodas reunite in 'Nanatsu no Taizai' or 'Seven Deadly Sins' (Photo : YouTube)
There are bundles of good news for the lovers of the Japanese TV anime series ''Nanatsu no Taizai'' or ''Seven Deadly Sins.'' In the final episode of the four episode OVA (original video animation) which was aired on Sunday, the advertisement of the upcoming season 2 was included.
There are more exciting updates for the fans. The fans who will buy the Japanese Blu-ray discs or DVDs for ''The Seven Deadly Sins -Signs of Holy War'' which concluded on Sunday, will get a chance to attend "The Seven Deadly Sins Festival" event. According to Anime News Network, the first Blu-ray/DVD volume will be sold from Jan. 11, 2017 and the buyer will get to attend the event's day session. The second Blu-ray/DVD volume will open its counters from Feb. 8, 2017 and the fans will get to attend the event's evening session.
Also the fans can read the chapters digitally on Crunchyroll, simultaneously as Kodansha publishes them in Japan. While the fans wait for the new season which has not got any release date yet, they can view the episodes of the season 1 and the newly concluded four episode OVA. Episode 2 was aired on Sep. 4, 2016, was entitled ''Futari no Ken'ka Matsuri" which means "Our Fighting Festival" in English. In the previous episode the fans saw Ban catching the pig Hawk and winning the bet which was placed by Meliodas.
While Ban (The Fox's Sin of Greed) was walking towards the hilltop to face Meliodas (The Dragon's Sin of wrath) in the famous duel, he thinks about his previous feud with him. When he reaches the hilltop, he was greeted by Meliodas, Elizabeth, Hawk and other Sins, the Holy Knights and the audience. Everyone remind him that he is late for the famous fight and everyone is waiting to see them. Now, Merlin (The Boar's Sin of Gluttony) spells a cast so that Ban and Meliodas can fight within it and are not interfered by any external forces. This huge cube-shaped force-field also protects the spectators in any untoward event of the fighters moving towards them.
The duo who has known each other for a long time enjoy the battle and Elizabeth (The Third Princess of the Kingdom of Liones) gets worried about the safety of both the sins. Diane (The Serpent's Sin of Envy) who has a soft corner for Meliodas, comforts Elizabeth, even though she is jealous of her as Meliodas often shows his affection to her. Hauser (also a sin) and King or Harlequin (The Grizzly's Sin of Sloth) utilise this opportunity and try to attract Diane's attention.
Finally, the duel between Ban and Meliodas ends in a tie and they head towards the Boar Hat bar, where Elizabeth works as a waitress. The episode ended with a sudden appearance of Dreyfus, the great holy Knight. Earlier in episode 22 of season 1, Hendriksen had overpowered Dreyfus and had melted his body with his acid power. It looks like his body is again resurrected. The former Great Holy Knight Hendriksen's demon-winged arm flies over on the countryside and the reason is not yet known.
