The highly anticipated sci-fi film, "Transformers: The Last Knight," rocked Britain with its action-packed explosive scenes shot in the historic town of Northumberland.
In the latest updates, Mark Wahlberg finally arrived in Britain to join director Michael Bay and the rest of the production team, composed of approximately 200 crew members. The set for the upcoming "Transformers" movie is just in front of Alnwick Castle. The chosen spot by the award winning director is significantly apt for the film, as it is labeled as one of the most iconic and historical places in the United Kingdom.
Aside from filming outside the castle, the interior of the home of the Duke of Northumberland seems to be featured in the movie as well, since there were also cranes and lights set up around and through the windows of the place.
Accordingly, the scenes shot were particularly for high-impact scenes as two explosions were recorded by the drone camera in Kielder water after many cars simultaneously flooded the area. Many photographs during the shoot were shown and the roughened up man features matching with his plain grey T-shirt implies that he is all geared up for action scenes.
Moreover, Wahlberg also had a chance to work with a real knight, Sir Anthony Hopkins, 78, who was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1993 for his contribution to the arts. According to reports, the two has grown closer as they are seen to be chatting comfortably in between takes.
Aside from the Northumberland, the crew also taped for the fifth installment in London, particularly near Bank Tube station where the scenes - a car was hurdled onto the side and glimpses of the revamped Autobots - were dramatically shot. Currently, there is no announcement yet as to the next filming place.
The expectations for the upcoming "Transformers" film is higher as the movie franchise has approximately earned 3.7 billion in its previous installments.
"Transformers: The Last Knight" is set to premiere on 2017 and it will also be open for 3D viewing.
