Drew Barrymore is out to tell the world more of her life. People reported that the "Charlie's Angels" actress celebrated her 40th birthday for the week by sealing a publication deal with Dutton. Barrymore is to publish autobiographical essays in a book collection for the publishing company. The actress confessed that she aimed to make the book light hearted and funny to readers.
The autobiography collection is still yet to be titled. However, allegedly it'll narrate Barrymore's multiple challenges in life. The essays will chronicle Barrymore living independently at 14, having nobody to turn to for help in a cross country road trip, bidding her father goodbye, and of course, motherhood. Readers will be surprised to read in the upcoming auto bio that laundry indeed was a lifesaver for Barrymore, at 14!
Barrymore has expressed her gratitude over learning so much through the years as a person. The actress is so appreciative of lessons learned that she is glad to impart them to the world, according to People.
Barrymore is now a mother to two daughters, Olive and Frankie. The actress is married to the girls' father, Will Kopelman.
The New York Daily News reported that Ben Sevier, a Dutton publisher, has expressed his appreciation of having Barrymore on board. Sevier noted that Barrymore would highlight Hollywood's iconic memoir era in this time and age.
Barrymore published a book about her struggles with drugs and alcohol and rehab treatments when she was in her teens. The book was entitled, "Little Girl Lost."
