Brad Pitt denied the child abuse allegation following the divorce filing of his wife Angelina Jolie, and that he did not hurt his son. During the alleged Sept. 14 mid-flight incident, there was a parent-child argument which escalated and though Pitt put his hands on the child, he did not physically harm the latter.

The alleged plane incident did not reach the physical abuse level and no one was physically harmed, People reported. Furthermore, the Los Angeles Police Department revealed they are not investigating the actor, nor have they any allegation against him. There were reports that Pitt will be investigated for child abuse,

"We have no criminal investigation that we are actively pursuing," Sgt. Barry Montgomery told The Hollywood Reporter on Sept. 22, Thursday. "To my knowledge, [Pitt talking to police] never happened...We have no investigation involving Mr. Pitt."

However, the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services could not confirm nor deny Pitt is involved in an allegation. They are keeping strict confidentiality of the subject of their investigations, spokeswoman Amara Suarez told the publication.

The abuse reportedly took place during a flight on the couple's private plane with their children. Pitt allegedly got "physical" and "verbally abusive" with one of their kids. The complaint also mentioned he was drunk at that time.

Pitt reportedly did not return to their home in L.A. after the incident, which is not unusual as he would often stay in a hotel following arguments with Jolie. While the L.A. County DCFS is reportedly investigating on the alleged incident, the case has also been referred to the special aircraft jurisdiction of the FBI because the incident was mid-flight.

Jolie filed the divorce on Sept. 19, Monday, requesting sole custody of their six children 15-year-old Maddox, 12-year-old Pax, 11-year-old Zahara, 10-year-old Shiloh and eight-year-old twins, Knox and Vivienne. The move is said to be for the health of the family.

The filed documents cited irreconcilable differences. While Pitt and Jolie's date of separation was listed Sept. 15, reports of the filing first came out on Sept. 20, Tuesday. The couple have been together for 12 years and have just celebrated their second wedding anniversary.
