Hideo Kojima, the creator of one of the most celebrated games in 2015, "Metal Gear Solid," has finally spoken on the release of "Metal Gear Survive."
In the recent interview with Kojima at the Tokyo Game Show, the creator vehemently denied any involvement in "Metal Gear Survive" series which featured zombies. In fact, he said that the game is originally about political fiction and espionage so there's no way that a zombie theme fits in that.
Meanwhile, Yoji Shinkawa, the former character and mechanical designer on the "Metal Gear" series, who now works under the Kojima productions, also denied any involvement with the recent video, and iterated that had he been involved in it, there would have been mechs included.
The game creators cannot help but speak up when fans expressed their dislike on the recently released 15-minute preview trailer of "Metal Gear Survive" gameplay. It features, among others, a co-op between players in an attempt to survive against zombies.
It can be remembered that the two had a rancorous separation from the company last year, and since then, they worked together under Kojima Productions. For a while now, Kojima and his crew have been busy with their new IP "Death Stranding."
For those uninitiated, the game is a supernatural-based co-op game that can be played by four players within the "Metal Gear Solid" that portrays political fights and espionage, thus, many fans questioned the sudden inclusion of the zombies in the scene.
Meanwhile, Polygon also confirmed that "Metal Gear Survive" almost have the same features like the latest installment of the "Metal Gear" series. It is set to be released on March or September 2017 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. According to reports, the game will be available in the same price range as that of "Ground Zeroes" which is priced at $30.
