The final episode of "The Amazing Race" Season 25 was quite impressive, with food scientists Maya Warren and Amy DeJong claiming victory. Season 26 premieres on Feb. 25, Wednesday, and is said to be a 90-minute episode. It will have 10 singles that will be paired as "blind date" couples to compete in the race, which is a first for the show, reports the Gospel Herald Entertainment.
The first episode involves a race to claim plane tickets to Tokyo, and winners get to have an express pass. Eight teams were able to leave on the first flight, leaving behind three teams on the second flight.
Hypable also made it clear that there are challenges along the way called Samurai Sake and Syncing Steps. While the former involves memorizing different types of sake, the latter involves dance steps.
The show's cast this time is a mix of lawyers, athletes, medical personnel, and several other professions. Lawyers Jelani Roy and Jenny Wu finished first place on the end of the premiere episode while salesman Jeffrey Weldon and professional dancer Jackie Ibarra bagged the second place.
The third and fourth placers were Laura Pierson and Tyler Adams and Aly Dudek and Steve Langton respectively, with Harley Rodriguez and Jonathan Knight and Bergen Olson and Kurt Jordan Belcher bagging the fifth and sixth places.
Finishing on the seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth places are the following teams in order: Mike Dombrowski and Rochelle Nevedal, Hayley Keel and Blair Townsend, Matt Cucolo and Ashley Gordon, and Lebya Simpson and CJ Harris.
The team that was eliminated was Jeff Magee and Lydia Grawn.
Jelani and Jenny, Tyler and Laura, Blair and Hayley, and Rochelle and Mike are said to be very strong teams, so they are thought to be those who might make it to the final four. To find out what is in store for the show, you can tune in every Friday nights on CBS.
