New details and spoilers for "Jessica Jones" season 2 will feature three villains and the possibility of Luke Cage's return to the show.
"Jessica Jones" showrunner Melissa Rosenberg revealed several details regarding Luke Cage's (Mike Colter) possible return in season 2 as she told The Hollywood Reporter that she and "Luke Cage" series showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker did not have time to discuss what is next between Luke Cage and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) in the show.
However, Rosenberg mentioned that she has one of the writers in the "Luke Cage" Netflix series and hopefully she would intend to put Luke back in Jessica's life in the plot of season 2. Rosenberg added that she will miss working with Mike Colter and the special chemistry he had with Krysten Ritter during the first season of "Jessica Jones".
"Luke Cage" is currently airing on Netflix, which featured Colter's super strong and bullet-proof character fighting crime to make Harlem safe. Both Jessica Jones and Luke Cage met in the first season of "Jessica Jones" as friends, allies and eventually lovers. They will also join other Marvel Netflix characters Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and Danny Rand/Iron Fist (Finn Jones) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's version of "The Defenders".
In other news, it seems that "Jessica Jones" season 2 will feature not one, but possibly three villains in the show.
Rosenberg teased that Jessica will fight three villains in the show that will likely top David Tennant's performance as Kilgrave.
These three rumored characters in "Jessica Jones" season 2 are Ruby Thursday, Jigsaw and Nuke, International Business Times reported.
Ruby Thursday is primary antagonist of Hellcat in the comics, and since Trish Walker will be the center of season 2's plot, there is a chance that Jessica and Trish will cross paths with her.
Jigsaw on the other hand, is one Frank Castle/The Punisher's (Jon Bernthal) primary villains. "The Punisher" TV series being pushed on Netflix soon, Jigsaw will show up as the main antagonist in the show.
Lastly, Nuke will likely return in season 2 after Jessica fought him in the events of season 1.Formerly known as Will Simpson (Wil Traval), he gain enhanced strength and combat capabilities by taking in experimental adrenaline pills.
There is no announcement of the release date for "Jessica Jones" season 2.
