New details for "Overwatch" will feature the launching of the new "Halloween Terror" event and Sombra's announcement at Blizzcon 2016.
Blizzard Entertainment launched the "Halloween Terror" DLC expansion on "Overwatch" this week as gamers will be excited to see there favorite characters in their "Halloween" themed costumes, loot boxes and "Junkenstein’s Revenge Brawl" co-op mode.
The "Junkenstein' Revenge Brawl" will feature four players joining forces as waves of undead forces called "the army of Dr. Junkenstein", will try to break down the gates of Dr. Adlersbrunn’s castle. The four players must choose from Alchemist Ana, Archer Hanzo, Gunslinger McCree, and Soldier 76 with only one of each character per team.
Aside from the new co-op Brawl, the "Halloween Terror" event will feature over 100 new cosmetics, from legendary skins to icons and will be available for the duration of the event. Unlike the Summer Games, however, Blizzard is allowing players to buy the cosmetics with in-game currency and they cost 3 times their normal price, but it’s a compromise Blizzard made at the "Overwatch" community’s request, Gamerant reported.
In other news, it seems that Blizzard Entertainment will likely announce the next DLC character for "Overwatch" during the Blizzcon 2016 event.
Game director Jeff Kaplan confirmed that a new "Overwatch" hero is coming soon and the upcoming character is undergoing internal testing as of press time, iTechPost reported.
It is hinted that Sombra will be the next character joining the roster as an alledge character photo of her was leaked online. Sombra's appearance is that of a Latina woman, with a wild hairstyle, a purple trenchcoat and some sort of Uzi like submachine gun.
Sombra is said to be one of the world’s best and most notorious hackers, who lost everything during the Omnic Crisis. She has “worked with the Los Muertos gang in Mexico” but had to go underground after gaining too much notoriety. She was then recruited by Talon.
Blizzard will likely make the announcement on Oct. 16-17, a few weeks before this year's Blizzcon event.
"Overwatch" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
