"Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization" information on new details have been revealed by Bandai Namco recently. The game producer revealed that the game can be finished in 30 to 40 hours.
According to the official website of the video game, the game company has shared information about new characters, new story details, new gameplay, and a major update. One of the new characters introduced is Kizmel, which is voiced by Shizuka Ito. She is a dark elf swordsman is sworn to protect the woods, and also a special quest NPC who encounters Kirito and Asuna.
The game company explained that NPCs will die permanently if they are killed in-game. The game's protagonist Kirito confirmed this when he noticed that one of the NPCs he knew is no longer there.
Kirito learned from information dealer Argo that when an NPC dies, they are not resurrected by the game. The dead character is instead replaced by a new one. All of the NPCs in the game have their own unique settings and AI, which means there are no replacements.
The hero meets Premiere who is a strange girl that he meets in the Town of Beginning in "Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization." He deepens his interactions with this NPC, which made him search for here when she goes missing. He makes it his mission to save her from a player who intends to harm her.
Bandai Namco explained the Sword Skill connect system and its features. These skills can be linked together under specific conditions, which make it easier for players to use the skills. Sword Skills can continue without breaks, with the Sword Connect feature.
The game company introduced the field quests, which are event fragments, episode quests, and Evil God appearances. When players move about the field, event fragments can be triggered under certain conditions. They can check the locations on the map after the warning sign appears across the screen.
Players who clear the Event Fragments can unlock the larger-scale versions called Episode Quests. If they can clear both quests on the field, they can obtain various rewards that can help them in the game.
There are times that a formidable enemy will appear on the map. Players will know this as an Evil God event, which is a very difficult one. They are advised to cooperate with other players online to conquer this event.
Players will also meet a mysterious player called Richter. Sinon seems to know this character, but she is wary of him. He also calls Kirito as the Black Swordsman.
The Shrine of the Abyss is a major downloadable content for players to experience. It will have three chapters that will tell a new story of the game.
Players can expect a free major update with a temporary title "Fighters of the Blue Sky." It will be released by the end of 2016 and it adds 20 hours of gameplay.
Producer Yosuke Futami told Gematsu in an interview that players will be able to finish "Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization" in 30 to 40 hours without doing other side missions. If they do the other missions and maximize their levels, they can expect the game to have 70 to 100 hours of gameplay.
