Rockstar Games has just recently teased "Red Dead Redemption 2" by changing their logo color to red from yellow and posting another teaser image with characters seemingly from the wild west.
It has been several years since very first "Red Dead Redemption" and players of the game know well that the protagonist was killed off in the last part of the story. How will Rockstar continue the story now that they have had their original protagonist killed?
Rockstar has a pattern in their sequel which sees that there is always a new protagonist in every installment. That is why there is no same main characters in any of their "Grand Theft Auto" games.
Other companies spend millions of dollars and resources to get people to notice their teasers in order to build hype for their games. Rockstar went the silent but strong route as they just changed the color of their logo for the "Red Dead Redemption 2" teaser, The Guardian has learned.
The company posted the new red Rockstar logo on their Twitter account. As of this writing the tweet has been retweeted 110,000 times and has been loved 200,000 times since it was posted over a day ago.
"Red Dead Redemption 2" could be set as a prequel as the Dutch Gang seems to be the one in the teaser image from Rockstar Games, Polygon reported. The Dutch Gang was disbanded in 1911 when the original title took place.
There is no confirmed detail regarding the plot or story from Rockstar as there are only teaser images posted on their social media accounts. Some also believe that the focus of the game could be old western heists considering that the game mode seems to be a huge hit with the likes of the "Battlefield," "PayDay 2" and even the recent "GTA V" DLC.
Rockstar could unveil the "Red Dead Redemption 2" details soon as the teaser image has already gained attention from both their fans and other players. The company could make an announcement before the end of the year and the game itself could be launched next year if there are no delays.
