The cast of SBS's upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama "Legend of the Blue Sea" recently got together for the first script reading. Thus, many fans are now getting some full details about the drama's plot and characters.
On Oct. 8, director Jin Hyeok and screenwriter Park Ji-Eun were joined by lead stars Lee Min-Ho and Jun Ji-Hyun in Sangam, Seoul, South Korea, to go over the show's script. The script reading lasted for three hours and covered the first four episodes of the drama.
Notably, the script reading was held nearly two months after "Legend of the Blue" kicked off the filming at the Goesan, North Chungcheong Province, South Korea. It is said that the production staff was unable to get the whole cast together due to their busy schedules.
"Having the cast - including Jun Ji Hyun, Lee Min Ho, and Lee Hee Joon - come together after about two months of filming, it was a fun table reading," a member of the production staff told local newsoutlet Nate. "Please support and encourage this project, and watch the actors take on new challenges with us."
In the SBS drama, the "My Love From the Star" actress will play the last mermaid on Earth, Sim Chung, who struggles to adapt to a human life. She meets a genius but a cold-blooded swindler, Heo Jun-Jae, who uses his great looks and wit to trick others.
Right after the SBS drama held its first script reading, it was revealed that f(x)'s Krystal will make a special cameo appearance in "Legend of the Blue Sea," Soompi has learned. Not much is known about the 21-year-old singer's role other than the fact that she will appear in the early episode of the Wednesday-Thursday drama.
The special cameo appearance of the f(x) member is intended to show support to her former co-star. It can be recalled Krystal previously worked with Lee in the 2013 SBS drama "The Heirs."
"Legend of the Blue Sea" is expected to hit airwaves on Nov. 16. Check out the news preview below for more information:
