The latest details and spoilers for "Avengers: Infinity War" will feature the possible formation of the Illuminati and Spider-Man not appearing in the film.
Marvel president Kevin Feige teased the possibility of having the Illuminati into the Marvel Cinematic Universe during the "Doctor Strange" press conference in Los Angeles. Feige stated that what is fun about having the Illuminati in the MCU is that there is a certain character who will interact with another character, and will likely bee seen during the course of next Avengers film, particularly "Avengers: Infinity War", Screenrant reported.
The Illuminati in the Marvel comics, are a clandestine organization that is run by some of the most powerful and brilliant minds in the Marvel universe. It members include Tony Stark/Iron Man representing the Avengers, Professor Charles Xavier representing the X-Men and mutantkind, King T'Challa/Black Panther representing Wakanda, Namor representing Atlantis, Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic representing the Fantastic Four and the scientific community, Black Bolt representing the Inhumans, and Doctor Stephen Strange representing the mystical side.
The group was initially the brainchild of Tony Stark, who enlisted the help of T'Challa to assemble the heads of various superhero teams into a cohesive unit, in response to extraterrestrial threats. It morphed into a secret society of Marvel leaders, who would ultimately influence the future of the planet. Other members of Marvel universe also joined the Illuminati such as Steve Rogers/Captain America, Hank McCoy/Beast, Hank Pym/Ant-Man and Bruce Banner/The Hulk.
Furthermore, each member of Illuminati has his own Infinity Stone to safe guard and a way for them to know that they part of the group.
Perhaps the Illuminati will be formed by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) after events of "Avengers: Infinity War" and comic book fans cannot who will join him the group in the MCU.
In other news, "In the Heart of the Sea" star Tom Holland revealed several new details for "Spider-Man: Homecoming" during a promo for his upcoming film, "The Lost City of Z" along with his co-star Robert Pattinson. Holland told stated in an interview that a possible sequel for "Homecoming" could be in the works very soon and even a new villain for the movie.
However, Holland will not likely reprise his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man during "Avengers: Infinity War" as he told Variety that Spidey's appearance in the film is "still up in the air", but negotiations are on the way. Even though Holland is unsure if he is part of the film or not, fans believed that Marvel Studios could make it happen.
There are also rumors that Netflix superhero team The Defenders could be included in "Avengers: Infinity War" as Feige stated that one of the things which made "Infinity Gauntlet" good is that everybody in the Marvel Universe is trying to go up against Thanos whether they were god-like powers or not, because that is what Avengers do.
When asked if "everyone" could mean the inclusion of the Netflix heroes and "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." series, Feige responded by saying "spoilers", indicating the possibility.
Film directors the Russo Brothers stated in an interview regarding the Marvel Netflix heroes in "Avengers: Infinity War" as Anthony Russo stated that they are considering everyone in the film and they wanted to surprise the audiences the best way they can.
"Avengers: Infinity War" is slated to be release on May 4, 2018, while the fourth film is scheduled on May 3, 2019.
