After the death of Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) in "The Walking Dead" Season 7 episode 1 titled "The Day Will Come When You Won't Be," fans hope that Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) could do something to avenge him. Lincoln recently talked about this.
In an interview with Time, Lincoln was asked if Rick had any glimmer of hope for revenge or even for getting Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) back. Lincoln replied, "No, he's shattered. He's done."
Since "The Day Will Come When You Won't Be" aired on Oct. 23, Sunday, on AMC, many viewers have been blaming Daryl for the death of Glenn. This was because it was Daryl's outburst was what triggered Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) to choose a second victim after killing Sgt. Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz).
According to Lincoln, viewers may not expect the all-in-it-together vibe anymore in the AMC horror drama series. The element that will never be lost in the show, the actor said, is hope, which existed in the first episode of the show and will continue in the DNA of each of the upcoming episodes.
Each of the characters responds to the traumatizing experience in a way that is completely unique, Lincoln pointed out. As the only who lost the love of her life, Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan) appears to be the only character showing a certain level of defiance, the actor added.
Recently, Yeun also revealed how he felt about the death of his character in "The Walking Dead." He told Entertainment Weekly that he is still not sure if he has fully processed it yet.
"Personally, for me, I'm not one to cry all the time," Yeun told the publication. "I don't cry much in real life."
"The Walking Dead" Season 7 episode 2 titled "The Well" will air on Oct. 30 at 9 p.m. on AMC in the United States and on Fox in the United Kingdom. Watch the trailer of the episode here:
