The CW show's production team already started filming activities for the said episode, as indicated in Guggenheim's social media post. Directed by Gregory Smith, the cast and crew are slated to end shooting scenes for episode 10 on Nov. 1, Tuesday.
Despite the lack of details, Guggenheim's Twitter message gave viewers a peek at the said episode's potential storyline. Plot speculations posted on ComicBook indicated that Oliver (Stephen Amell) may learn more about the new villain Prometheus in episode 10. However, another scenario may also involve Oliver facing his inner demons to help determine his future actions.
"Arrow" Season 5 introduced several changes to Oliver's life. He has a new team on his side, as well as a new day job as the city's mayor. The events of Season 4 that saw the death of the Black Canary (Katie Cassidy) also affected Oliver and fueled his desire for change following his friend's demise.
Meanwhile, in an earlier interview with Entertainment Weekly, Guggenheim revealed that Season 5 will have a central theme of creating a legacy following a devastating incident. Oliver will try to honor Black Canary's death with his actions, both as a mayor and as the Green Arrow. However, it will "[threaten] to pull him back to the early days," according to the showrunner.
Oliver's past will also catch up with him in the form of the new villain Prometheus. Guggenheim even hinted that the Green Arrow's previous actions may have contributed to the said villain's creation.
