Adele, who has been secretive about her personal life, recently revealed in an interview that after giving birth to her son, thoughts occurred in her mind that it had been the worst decision of her life. Suffering from post-partum depression, the "Hello" singer explained that although it is natural for mothers not wanting to be around their child for a period of time, the experience was opposite for her.
The multi-awarded artist recalled that while she was under post-partum, she was obsessed with her child but felt very inadequate and felt like she had made the worst decision of her life, Vanity Fair reported. She revealed she has been easily in and out of depression since she was young. The "Hello" singer admitted she possesses a "very dark side" and is "very available to depression," the report added.
The 28-year old artist recollected her depression started when she was 10, at the time her grandfather died. Although she had not had any suicidal thoughts, Adele revealed she had been in a lot of therapy sessions.
Despite going through the post-partum depression and battling with it, the "When We Were Young" singer successfully overcame her situation when she said one day she has had enough. The British singer shared she was able to do this by sparing an afternoon to herself without her baby.
When asked by her friends if she does not feel bad or guilty, Adele said she felt bad but not as bad as she would feel if she did not do it. The singer added it actually made her a better mom although there are times when she is touring that she feels guilty she is not with her son. But when not working, the hit-singer did not feel guilty at all.
Meanwhile, Adele who recently collaborated with Bruno Mars has been hailed by the latter as a "diva." Although Mars' initial impression towards her was a diva with an attitude, it started to change when they started recording, ABC News reported. He even described her as incredible, recalling the water was vibrating while she was singing.
