Park Shin Hye received several negative feedbacks after the South Korean actress shared her thoughts about the upcoming Coldplay concert. Given the backlash, the "Annoying Brother" star deleted her social media post to avoid further criticisms.
Recently, the "Doctors" actress became the target of critics after the Hallyu star posted a social media message about the upcoming Coldplay concert in Seoul. Park took to Instagram on Nov. 23, Wednesday, to share that she was unable to get concert tickets during an exclusive Hyundai card online sale promotion.
Park even uploaded a snapshot of a crying cartoon image to depict her sadness from not getting Coldplay tickets during the said sale event. However, netizens bashed the South Korean actress' for what they claimed was a potential solicitation request.
Some critics alleged that Park's Instagram post, that has since been deleted, may be construed as the actress' attempt to get free Coldplay concert tickets from her fans. Some of the negative comments, captured by All Kpop prior to the message's deletion, even indicated that Park seems to be "begging for gifts" from her Instagram followers.
It appears that there were earlier instances where some South Korean celebrities used their fame and social media accounts to get free gifts from fans. Musician Danny Ahn, a member of the first generation Kpop idol group G.O.D., allegedly received several free items after posting messages on social media, according to Korea Herald.
Ahn previously uploaded messages of how he wanted a jacket of the South Korean baseball team LG Twins, as well as tickets for the baseball finals. Several days after the said posts, the G.O.D. singer uploaded a selfie picture that showed the Kpop idol at the finals wearing an LG Twins jacket.
Meanwhile, Park currently stars in the comedy film "Annoying Brother" that was released in South Korean movie theaters on Nov. 24, Thursday. Watch the trailer below:
