Capcom's equally awaited title for Nintendo 3DS - "Monster Hunter XX," has made its fandom musing what beasts of wonder will be gracing in the next episode of the game series. Reports suggest that the upcoming title will feature the return of a weird-looking specie of monster and a brand new type of hunting style that will be handy in taking down walking/flying behemoths.
Famitsu, via Nintendo Everything, gave an in-depth look into the new installment of the franchise as it noted the latest roster of monsters that will be encountered by players when the game comes to fruition.
Some of the notable creatures that were added include the wyvern type monster known as Diablos. This creature dons a very strong natural body armor and a pair of thick horns that are being used as weapons against who threaten its turf.
Another wyvern will also be added into the game that goes by the moniker Astalos. The emerald-hued flying reptile uses electric attacks, though it's relatively weak to both ice and water attacks.
Congalala, on the other hand, will also be making a comeback in the series. The beast was first introduced in "Monster Hunter 2" that came out in 2007, and will now be seen once again by new age of players in 2017. The beast primate looks like a love child between an albino gorilla and a hippopotamus and is said to be very intelligent and highly sociable species.
Apart from such beings, the game is set to bring in a new hunting style known as the "Renkin Style ." Gematsu mentioned that it will be a supplementary type of hunting technique that will greatly improve the performance of the items as well as the weapons that will be used under the new hunting style.
Moreover, it is said that players will be carrying a so-called Great Renkin Barrel that is essential in the creation of Renkin weapons and items.
Meanwhile, "Monster Hunter XX" is slated to be released in Japan on March 18 next year for Nintendo 3DS. Capcom and Nintendo have to comment though on when will it land on U.S. shores.
