The "Fifty Shades Darker" trailer is out, and as expected it did not disappoint fans waiting to see more racy scenes of the Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson). The new trailer was released on Dec. 7, Wednesday.
The opening scene of the "Fifty Shades Darker" trailer started with Grey sending a bunch of white roses to Steele with his voice over saying "I want you back." He invited her for dinner and she responded in the most sarcastic way that she is joining him because she is hungry.
It is obvious that Grey wants Steele badly, and he succeeded as she joined him with no hesitation. The two-minute clip showed how they rekindled their romance as they are back again with their old BDSM ways.
Grey won Steele's heart in one condition as she makes demands that there would be no rules, punishments and no more secrets. Although it would be easy for Grey to give up rules and punishments, he could not get away with keeping secrets with Steele, according to The Sun. The "Fifty Shades Darker" will see Grey trying to hide his past from Steele as the woman, who introduced him to bondage arrives.
Fans would surely be stuck in their seats as the new trailer features the steamy shower and elevator scenes of Grey and Steele. Dornan is often seen shirtless in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movies. When he was asked if fans would still see more of him in the movie based on E.J King's bestselling book trilogy, he declined to comment instead.
"The truth is that I don't know the answer to that," Dornan told Entertainment Tonight. "You'll have to wait and see."
The famous masquerade ball is still prominent in the short "Fifty Shades Darker" trailer. Grey's rival to Steele's heart Jack Hyde (Eric Johnson) also appeared in several scenes.
A helicopter fight scene is also highlighted in the two and a half minute clip. A woman, who appears before Steele, seems to be the woman that Grey killed.
The last scenes of the clip showed a caption "Can love survive," which teases a looming conflict on the relationship of Grey and Steele. Kim Basinger will play Elena Lincoln, Grey's business associate and former lover, who is may bring some confusion to Grey and Steele's romance.
The sequel to the highly-anticipated "Fifty Shades of Grey" was directed by the same director, who helmed "At Close Range" James Foley. Recurring cast includes Luke Grimes, Eloise Mumford and Max Martini. IT is slated to debut on Feb. 10, 2017.
