"The Big Bang Theory" has had 10 successful seasons, but thousands of fans across the world believe that it is time to say goodbye to the show.
Despite its steady ratings, the number of viewership for the show has gone down since it first premiered in 2007. As of late, CBS president Glenn Geller still does not have any idea on whether or not "The Big Bang Theory" will be renewed for Season 11. However, he is confident that Warner Bros will not stop making renewal deals as long as viewers still want to see the most popular sitcom on television, according to TV Guide.
Earlier this year, "The Big Bang Theory" cast member Jim Parsons also expressed his excitement over the future of the show. The actor is confident that they could go on and on for years because he and his co-stars all wants to continue playing their respective characters. While speaking with TV Line, Parsons said that he knows for sure everyone will be on board.
However, it has already been a few months since Geller and Parsons have talked positively about the show's renewal for Season 11. As of late, there is still no word from the network whether or not this is still happening.
Meanwhile, some of the main cast members from "The Big Bang Theory" are awaiting the renewal of their contracts. In the previous year, Kaley Cuoco, Parsons and Johnny Galecki all received an increase in their pay. At present, they are receiving $1 million per episode. Since they all still want to be part of the sitcom, there are reports that none of the three will seek an increase just to make sure that a renewal will happen.
In other news, "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 is on a short winter hiatus at the moment. When the show returns next week, Amy (Mayim Bialik) will be celebrating her birthday. But unlike last year, she and Sheldon (Parsons) will not have sex. Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) and Howard (Simon Helberg) will also welcome the arrival of their first child.
"The Big Bang Theory" Season 10, episode 11 will air on CBS on Dec. 19 at 8 p.m. EST.
