Michael Schumacher is reportedly showing progress though the more important fact right now is seeing him get up and show the world he has overcome the toughest challenge of his life. Right now, all have been limited to progress following that fatal ski accident back in 2013.
As mentioned in a previous post, Michael Schumacher’s social media accounts have been activated in an effort to fete the fallen racing legend. Both the Facebook and Instagram accounts plan to rekindle the good days of Schumi, possibly a medium for credible updates should the Schumachers allow it.
Former Mercedes boss Ross Brawn was the last one to speak and shed some light on the state of Michael Schumacher, Autoweek reported. Like most before him, he bares that Schumi is progressing positively and capping his update by telling fans to respect the privacy of the Schumacher family.
Credible updates on Michael Schumacher’s condition have been constrained to close friends and Sabine Kehm, the appointed spokesperson by the Schumachers. And as one would guess, all have said nothing more than ‘progressing’ for the racing legend.
In an effort to steer the attention away from “Schumi’s” health, some have gone as far as to suggest the “what could have been”. This includes potentially seeing Michael Schumacher still on the race tracks or perhaps even guiding his son, Mick Schumacher.
Mick Schumacher has been slowly trying to follow his father’s footsteps. He had three podium finishes in Bahrain recently and is currently headed to Dubai for round two of the MRF Challenge 2016, the Deccan Chronicle reported.
He currently leads the championship with 75 points, holding off the likes of Ralf Aron (72), Joey Mawson (61) and Harrison Newey (53). Newey is the son of F1 designer Adrian Newey and started the pole in Bahrain.
Had he been healthy, Michael Schumacher would have been proud to see his son Mick climbing up the ranks. While that may be impossible to see for now, all is not lost. Schumi is still fighting and could one day see his son burn rubber – the same way he did during his prime.
Check out the progress of Mick Schumacher which would have made his father Michael proud below.
