"Elite: Dangerous" will soon complete its gaming platform sweep as the release of its PS4 version of the game has been confirmed for next year.
After a period of wait, "Elite: Dangerous" will be arriving to the PlayStation 4 in the second quarter of 2017. Engadget also added that such arrival will also include trading and combat sim will have all the latest Horizon expansions.
It can be remembered that it has been a while that PS4 gamers have been waiting for the said game to arrive at such platform. Such arrival marks the completion of the platform sweep which was preceded by the Mac, Windows, and Xbox One. Although there was not much of a detail shared by the developers, Frontier CEO and Elite co-creator David Braben still managed to stir fans with his statement regarding what awaits PS4 gamers come 2017.
"I'm thrilled to announce today that "Elite: Dangerous" is coming to PlayStation 4. Every star in our night sky - the whole Milky Way - is there for you to explore how you choose. Fight, bounty-hunt, trade, assassinate, mine, explore your way across human space and out into the immense galaxy beyond, flying with your friends or travelling alone," David Braben shared a statement on the game's official website.
The success of "Elite: Dangerous" is not only marked by its platform sweep, for its overall gameplay and feature was warmly welcome by gamers across gaming platforms, especially with its Virtual Reality support. However, for the PS4 consoles, there is still no news for the VR feature of the game, guess we would just have to wait and see for its inclusion.
For now, PS4 fans would have to contend themselves in exploring "familiar constellations" and visit "white dwarfs" come second quarter of 2017. Moreover, queries about its price is yet to be announced, but previous Xbox One started at $29.99, and possibly "Elite: Dangerous" for PS4 will be having same deal.
